Filmmaker Statement

This is the first film (narrative) that I directed. My goal was to create something within the means accessible to me. Drawing upon inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Twilight Zone, I wanted to try and recreate that classic look and feel, but add some modern elements to the sauce (such as music and score). I also wanted to create something very punchy and lean into a very strict shot list. Typically, I'd like to explore more within the story and the frame, but given the amount of film we had, I kept everything very specific and intentional. Most of our shooting ratio was 1:1, or 2:1.
