Filmmaker Statement

I chose Main Street as the next film I would produce shortly after the death of my grandmother. I had written it earlier in the year, but I felt deeply connected to the themes I was trying to tackle in my original screenplay and decided it was the best time to properly empathize with the main character in the film. The story is deeply rooted in love and loss and the grieving phase where we attempt to hold onto memories of a loved one. A man who has lost his wife chooses to allow the world around move ahead while he focuses on the memories they shared. Burdened with thoughts of times where he should have been more focused on her, he spends his days trying to make up for that. It examines the cost of holding onto those memories and the importance of moving forward in your life. Most importantly, it begs of every viewer to focus in on the moments happening around them and put the proper attention into the here and now.
