Filmmaker Statement

For us, Maria is about parental love towards their children, in every sense of the word. The difficult decisions that we can barely endure, and find our whole lifetimes searching for the correct answers. The film is about stopping and reflecting on experiences, in putting yourself into someone else's shoes, and seeing and understanding their point of view. We hope you find the time to experience our story and hopefully find something in it that gives you reflection, making the film certainly has done that for ourselves. -Matias
