Neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed; Energy can be changed, moved, directed, stored, or dissipated, however, the amount of energy in the universe is a constant - 1st law of thermodynamics. This animation was created to examine the indestructibility of the human consciousness; and to represent the journey of a soul, or consciousness, through birth, development, life, death, and finally rebirth. We are all composed of materials that have been present for billions of years - the matter and dust created by the death of stars. In our deaths, our physical bodies become stardust again, and in this animation, I try to imagine what happens to our consciousness throughout time, and throughout the myriad life and death cycles completed on this planet as we partake in the process called “Galactic chemical evolution”.
