Filmmaker Statement

If there’s one thing COVID taught me, it’s how desperately I relied on evenings out with friends to escape my own anxiety. And so reading the script for ME NIGHT, I immediately knew I wanted to be a part of the project. But what drew most to the film was actress and co-writer Lauren Knutti. Having performed comedy alongside her for the last five years, I knew that she was one of the most dynamic and fearless actors I’d ever worked with. And on this project, she not only delivered – but went above and beyond on every take, including sticking her head into a toilet. And with our rockstar production team, each piece quickly fell into place. I’m so proud of the film we were able to make, and feel confident that it will resonate with anyone who’s ever been stuck at home on a Friday night with only their thoughts to keep them company.
