MISFIT [SEOUL] was written alongside a feature screenplay in which multiple characters briefly cross paths within the same city. That larger project explores how people live separate lives while remaining unknowingly connected by the systems around them. This short film focuses on one such moment—two lives linked by an invisible transaction, yet never truly meeting. I wanted to portray Seoul as a structure defined by movement, routines, and logistics, where individuals follow their own paths without awareness of how closely they intersect. Delivery systems and streets function as quiet connectors, binding people together through necessity rather than intention. In this film, coincidence matters more than choice. The characters do not recognize the connection they share, and their encounter remains fleeting. Through this, I was interested in how a city creates relationships between people even when those relationships go unseen.
