Mother (for UN World Water Day)

Mother is a short environmental narrative art film which has been shot between Scandinavia and Australia. Shot over 3 years and during wide ranging climate events ranging from harsh fish-fires to intense flooding (and of course Covid-19), the Production itself has witnesses and experienced the ill-health of the world first hand. The lush vibrant ice world shows Mother ‘then’ when young, free and healthy, which we juxtapose with her in Australia ‘now’ when aged, ravaged and facing an unavoidable decline. As the world has declined, so has she. But now, she must confront the inevitable. A private link to a WIP of the film (please do not share) can be see at the link/password shared.
