Filmmaker Statement

Musing on Epilepsy is a one minute short, focusing on the experience of having an epileptic seizure. Epilepsy is a common condition on which there is plenty of academic research but very little film or literature for the general public and therefor little is know about it by those who have not experienced the condition first hand. This stop motion film is an experiment into how one might go about producing an animated short that is able to describe, to a wider audience, the experience of having epilepsy, in a way which is recognisable on a personal and emotional level.
