Filmmaker Statement

Writer/Director Randy Mack has been a New Orleans resident for almost twenty years, and the city provides a rich tapestry of inspiration. His latest film explores the music district of Frenchment Street and the ne'er-do-well musicians who inhabit its periphery. Nightblooming is story that unfolds in a single continuous eight minute shot with no cheats or hidden cuts, following a disgraced musician attempting to get back in the saddle after a years-long hiatus.
