Nina’s Files began as a small idea with no budget and no guarantees — just a story I needed to tell. I wanted to capture the tension of a spy thriller while exploring something more personal: what it means to survive, adapt, and redefine yourself under pressure. Filming across the streets and subways of New York City, with a team of volunteers and supporters, taught me that creativity can thrive even without resources. Nina’s journey mirrors my own as a Ukrainian filmmaker building a new life abroad: uncertain, risky, but full of determination. For me, this project is not just about action or suspense. It’s about resilience, identity, and the cost of playing roles we never chose. That’s the heart of Nina’s Files — and why I believe audiences everywhere will connect to it.
