Filmmaker Statement

'No Worries if Not' is a story about a Mother and Son who care deeply for each other but express their affection in different ways. Growing up in the midwest I always felt pressure to lead a reserved lifestyle and to let my actions speak louder than my words. While this seems a fine way to live some things slip through the cracks and there are moments when the love between folks is perhaps less implicit than they both assume it to be. I've never heard my Grandmother say the words "I love you" or invite anyone over just to talk but as the COVID lockdown wore on and her tech problems became more and more frequent I began to wonder if she had reverse-engineered the system.
