Filmmaker Statement

Ever since I was a child, my love of superheroes and villains set the course for my filmmaking career. Their influence seeped its way into my real life, as I took on the hair style of Tobey Maguire's Spiderman, a speech impediment inspired by Two-Face, and the demeanor of Venom. Through this, my love of storytelling came alive. Films that have deep rooted personal meanings are ones that appeal to me. I have taken this storytelling technique into my own scripts. As I approached my thesis film I chose to fulfill my childhood dream of making a superhero film combined with my fascination of friendship and betrayal. My intention is for the viewer to not predetermine a characters virtue, but instead realize that the moral line of conflict and betrayal is obscure.
