NORTH COUNTRY is a subtextual, tone-poem of a short film in the style of Ernest Hemingway or Cormac McCarthy. Shot over five days in the Summer of 2021, in the 113-degree heat of Victorville, CA, and within full COVID protocols. I wanted to make something emotionally impactful on a deep, subtextual level. Something beautiful and thought provoking and challenging - for me and my audience. A story about two strangers who each fill a wound in the other's life, orbiting each other for a brief moment before continuing their separate lives.
