Somewhere in the past five years, my family holidays went from being full of games and festivities to being full of fighting and disagreements. We’d be doing something as simple as playing cards, but somehow still end up arguing about Trump, BLM, and whether or not Tucker Carlson knows how stupid his bow ties look. In such polarizing times, it seems to me that families everywhere are collectively failing at finding a balance, and that’s why I made this film. Hopefully after watching this cautionary tale of a family that can’t seem to compromise, people will want to find that middle ground with their own families. Was a sex-doll necessary to get that point across? Probably not, but family doesn’t always make sense.
