Made in association with Leicester LGBTQ+ Centre, this project is a reflection of rural masculinity, identity and intergenerational relationships. Inspired by tales of a real-life POP, Margo brought the character into the present day to unpick the complexities of growing up in a rural working-class village and discovering what it is to be a man. Margo Roe created this story to question miscommunication within tight-knit communities, reflect on working-class masculinity and open up a dialogue about discovering and nurturing gender identity within underprivileged households.
