Filmmaker Statement

"Portrait of an artist" is one of the smaller projects I've undertaken in recent years with regards to the budget (none) and crew (initially two) and was really just born out of a desire to tell a deeper human story and create a piece of work that's well within our means without all the pressure of a large scale production. I approached Skye, who has been a close collaborator of mine on a bunch of music projects, and asked her if she would allow me to tell her story which is one I have always admired. I'm very grateful she trusted me to do so and we're all so proud of what we've made here. I hope to continue the series by telling the unheard stories of other creators and artists.
