Filmmaker Statement

At the age of 7, a traumatic experience forced me to mature quickly. Since then, I've been drawn to exploring the lives of children who are forced to grow up prematurely and presenting their experiences from their perspective. The film ' Post Partum' is composed of artistic shots of Or, as he listens and observes the world of adults, while no one sees him. When my wife and I began contemplating having children I engaged in numerous conversations with families who had experienced Postpartum depression, and through these discussions, it became clear to me that early awareness and intervention can significantly alleviate the difficulties of depression and may even save lives. there is a great power to inclusion and support in such a complex situation. Therefore, even the small steps that the hero of the film can take, will mean the world to his mother but is just a kid. Today, I am the father of my own baby, and you can hear his cries and feeding from a bottle in the film's soundtrack :)
