Filmmaker Statement

The FIFA world cup 2022 in Qatar is a human rights disaster of epic proportions: from the 6500 + migrant workers who have died building the experience, to the arresting, persecution and beating of LGBTQ people. To protest we have made this short film that highlights the many shocking facts behind this world cup's inception, subverting the tropes and visual language of the beloved Panini sticker album to underline the pure commodification of Qatar's labor (90% of the country's population are migrants). Please join us in making sure human rights are respected by putting pressure on FIFA and Qatar to honor their commitments.
