Especially in this day and age, in a capitalist western society, from a young age we are taught to set ambitious goals, dream big and work hard to achieve. We are taught that success and acknowledgement are important. So we strive for it every single day and quickly get addicted to the intoxication of recognition. But the high is fleeting. And a cycle begins.
