I made this short film in an attempt to give people insight into what it feels like when one is struggling with mental health and compare this to what it can feel like when in a better place. I explored the thought process of "living to exist, exist to live" and its effects on mental health, and rather than having dialogue and characters, I aimed to show the world through the eyes of this person. I challenged myself to make this in two days, which challenged me but allowed me to remain authentic and focus on showing a truth. The difficult and in some cases scary transition from existing to living is one many people grapple with and I hope this film may give hope to anyone who cannot imagine the other side.
