‘Roadside Steve’ was originally a sketch-comedy character written by Gregory Bordelon and performed by Logan Smith. Both were members of an indie sketch team called "William Williams” which produced both the stage character and the video of Steve’s “memory”. The sketch had a wonderful performance run in Los Angeles during 2018-2019. It screened at The Comedy Central Stage, iO West Theatre, UCB Sunset, Pack Theatre, and San Francisco SketchFest. After the run, the team came together to film the opening and throughline scenes in the mountains of Altadena, CA. The idea was that these scenes could mirror the stage performance to give the project a true stand-alone feel. The film went on the play in Los Feliz, Portland, and was nominated for best comedy at The Austin Comedy Film Festival.
