Filmmaker Statement

I wanted to make the film to create conversation and spark debate over the pronunciation of the word 'scone'. Hidden inside this lighthearted altercation, I wanted to poke fun at the increasingly ridiculous prices of anything and everything in London. I wanted to create a character to highlight the importance of identity and staying true to your beliefs and the effect of conforming to other people's opinions. I also wanted to create a character that personifies the ideas that are being repressed by an increasingly sensitive society. Someone who represents our inner thoughts and desires without the boundaries and limitations of reputation and consequence - ultimately framing it in a hyperbolic, freeing manner.
