Filmmaker Statement

The intention behind this documentary is twofold. Firstly, I aim to create an emotional bridge, allowing audiences to empathize with the experiences of child sexual abuse. It's one thing to understand the issue intellectually, but it's another to feel the profound impact on an emotional level. Through this film, I hope to elicit a visceral response, to create a deeper understanding of the pain and emotions of an experience as such. Secondly, this film is a message of solidarity and encouragement. For people like Alba, myself and countless others who have been affected and keep being affected every day. I want to convey that they are not alone and that their lives are not irreparably damaged. Instead, they possess the strength to transform their pain and anger into something powerful and positive. This journey is arduous and takes time, but the paramount message is one of support and unity.
