Filmmaker Statement

Hey my name is Mahdi, I'm an 18 year old filmmaker from Sydney. Self-Portrait is a 6 minute fully 3D animation created using a range of tools such as Blender, Davinci and motion capture. Although animated, many of same filmmaking principles applied, allowing me to both practice and utilise my knowledge of lighting, cinematography, sound design and more during the process. The piece was a personal project that took me about 8 months to complete, it is my best work to date.
