Self Tape is a love letter by writer/director Chris Newhard to all the aspiring actors and the expectations placed upon them for auditioning. The film explores the traumatic spill over that occurs as new opportunities present themselves, when friendships cause more harm than good, and the pressure cooker of self critique this can cause. The line between insanity and brilliance becomes blurred all too easily in this modern age of online self taped auditions.
