Filmmaker Statement

Our film follows the journey of a young Sicilian shoeshiner as he navigates the complexities of life in an underprivileged society. Despite his hard work and determination, he finds himself at a moral crossroads as violence and corruption threaten to compromise his future. Through his story, we aim to shed light on the challenges faced by young people in similar situations who often lack the resources to make informed decisions about their lives. As he learns through both success and failure, we hope to highlight the power of perseverance and the impact of early lessons in shaping a person's future.
