"Snow Whisper" is a reflection of my innermost self, woven into the fabric of Eve and Hedy, the two protagonists of the film. Eve embodies the part of me that is anxious and vulnerable, yearning for love yet terrified of the pain that comes with separation. Hedy, on the other hand, represents the side of me that is resolute and decisive, the part that faces life's challenges head-on. The inspiration for this story stems from a deeply personal childhood experience. When I was young, my best friend had to emigrate to the UK. That moment left me feeling lost and helpless, realizing for the first time the vastness of the world and how it could keep me away from those I cared about. It was a profound awakening to the reality that I couldn't just be by her side whenever I wanted. "Snow Whisper" captures these conflicting emotions through the relationship between Eve and Hedy, set against a serene landscape that mirrors the purity and ephemerality of their connection. Their journey is one of discovering and cherishing the fleeting moments of intimacy and warmth, while grappling with the inevitable heartache of parting. As the director, I poured my heart into this film, aiming to evoke the raw, unfiltered emotions that come with love and loss. It's a story that speaks to the universal human experience of forming deep bonds and the pain of letting go. Through evocative visuals and poignant performances, I hope to convey the beauty and sadness of these transient relationships, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who has ever had to say goodbye to someone they hold dear. "Snow Whisper" is not just a narrative; it is my own story of longing and resilience, a testament to the complex, multifaceted nature of our emotional selves. And this is also why I made this film as my thesis film.
