'so much can happen' is an experimental animated short film. In-between moments can slip from our minds. They're not something we document or write about in journals, or tell our friends about, they usually just happen. Memories are a deceitful fluid that change overtime, bleeding and blurring and joining together. I wanted to investigate the memories of these fleeting moments, and create an archive for myself of the little things I was doing at a certain time in my life. These concepts are visualized by thick and harsh charcoal lines that illustrate the contours of a memory, while a faded photograph tints the background from behind. Experimenting with real-world audio was important for me to illustrate the changes that happen over time. Akin to the inconsequential moments, the film's end leaves the viewer without a narrative conclusion, but a feeling that something has happened.
