SPLIT is my first fiction short. It is about the fissures in a marriage and how a couple, Natalie and Joseph overcome them, in the presence of a foreigner Shiela who looks to become a mainstay. I am really inspired by the cinema of Claire Denis in capturing the day-to-day lives of people, the tension in their lives and the drama in the smallest of exchanges – this inspired me to retain my interest in telling human stories.
