It further delves into Africa's struggles with sustainable governance, factors pushing its youth to seek greener pastures through illegal migration. Illegal migrants are human beings like everybody else, it is the challenges they face in their home countries that push them to embark on such dangerous trips, this is their story. They are Africa and they are black history. This short film intends to promote discussions in the fields of migration and meanings of sustainability. It is an art film component of the Still Here body of artworks. Still Here received funding from MIASA, German Federal Ministry for Education and Research and the University of Ghana.
