Filmmaker Statement

Although on the surface a simple story, I’ve spent a long time trying to find the right idea that represents who I am and the sort of films I want to make. Combining both my love of food and cooking with the all too common theme of unrelenting pressure to constantly maintain perfection, that many not just in creative professions find themselves in, this felt like the perfect mix. Having spent a lot of time working in the commercial and branded world, this is my first venture into my own personal narrative work for a long time. With that in mind, I’ve tried extremely hard to bring all of my experience, skillset and hard earned connections to the fore to create the best version of this I possibly could within the time and budget constraints we all face at different levels as filmmakers.
