An old collaborator and friend of mine Jason Beaumont called and told me he that he’d purchased a new camera and wanted to shoot something, possibly a western or noir out in the desert, and soon. We rolled over a few plot lines and kicked the tires. For a while now I’ve had this idea of a drifter driving around with a body amongst the lonely expanse of the Mojave with no clearly defined path or purpose. The moment the audience sees the man with the corpse the worst is assumed, and the questions begin to mount.
