Filmmaker Statement

THE END OF THE PARTY was a true joy to create. As a director, I wanted to crack my brain open and show the world what was inside of it. I was lucky enough to have developed a pilot with Adriana Santos, an exceptional writer that really understood my voice. Developing this script was an incredible process; sharing with her the themes that mattered to me; coming of age stories, queer experiences, a little twist, a little FUN, and watching her translate it onto the page. I was lucky enough to have a few friends who were excited to support me, and gathering my crew felt like putting together my Marvel superhero dream artistic team. The 3 days of shooting were a fever dream. I met so many amazing people, learned so much about myself as a director, and truly accomplished what I wanted to make; a hybrid music based short story about longing, first love, and evaluating one's life to see where true happiness lies.
