Filmmaker Statement

The Friendship of Fish is about people from all walks of life coming together for a common goal, to save a pet goldfish. In these strangers coming together, we also see them coming apart. We experience the bond that is created and then watch as they all go their separate ways. It’s a story about the fleetingness of human connection and the randomness of life. This film takes me back to childhood. My first pet was a fish named Fred, whom I loved unconditionally.
