The Missed aims to take a step forward towards dismantling the stigma against mental health. It hopes to inspire conversation around the subject, especially in communities of color. The dialogue in the film is minimal with the intention of illustrating the potential, fatal consequences that come from what we DON'T say to our loved ones. In lieu of ticket sales, our recent private screenings further supported this initiative by encouraging the audience to give back to two institutions that go in line with the film's themes: National Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Oasis Institute—which is another non-profit organization committed to promoting healthy aging through lifelong learning, active lifestyles and volunteer engagement.
