Brian is an existentialist African-American director who got his start in television, writing for several cable and streaming series, including A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY for Peacock, THE MORNING SHOW for Apple, and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK for Netflix. The son of two ordained ministers, Brian left a soul-obliterating career as a corporate attorney at an elite law firm to pursue his passion for filmmaking. It’s this tension between work and life fulfillment – the paradoxical relationship between doing and being – that he explores in his most recent short film THE NAME OF THE GAME.
