Filmmaker Statement

I developed this short animated film during the COVID-19 pandemic. I wanted to explore the ways in which we find meaning and purpose in our lives in times of stress, isolation, and loneliness. I was further inspired by the final words of the intrepid Opportunity rover, as interpreted by journalist Jacob Margolis. The words, featured in the film, always stuck with me due to their simple beauty.
