Filmmaker Statement

Inspired by my childhood, I wanted to tell a coming of age story that explored the relationship dynamic I had with my mum who suffered heavily from mental illness. Family dynamics is something we don't often discuss when you're a child so I think it's a super important story to share. This film is made to celebrate the messiness and resilience of muddling through a fractious relationship.
