The idea that 2 men could drive a huge lorry bomb into a packed city centre, then calmly walk away has stuck with me since that happened in Manchester, back in 1996, causing massive devastation to the city (luckily no one was killed) Arguably the catalyst for the massive changes, many positive, that Manchester has undergone since. But what happened to the bombers? No one has ever been charged for that crime. Did they ever return to Manchester? What impact did this event have on them and their lives going forward?
