Three years ago, Anish flew to Qatar to help with the construction of stadiums for the FIFA World Cup. As a huge football fan himself, he was excited to be playing his part in the development of the biggest sporting event in the world. He’d been promised a good wage which would mean he could support his family back home in Nepal. But what he discovered when he arrived was far from what he expected… This documentary, made in partnership with the human rights organisation Equidem, tells the story of a migrant worker's experience in Qatar in the build up to the World Cup, bringing light to dangerous working practices covered up by the Qatari authorities. Anish’s story is part of the organisation's recent report ""If we complain we are fired”, and the investigative team at Equidem spoke to nearly a thousand workers to uncover a culture of abuse and forced labour.
