Filmmaker Statement

This is a tricky film to talk about without giving too much away, as I really hope audiences will enjoy an unpredictable story. It's a metaphorical tale about justice, power and facade. The idea started out as a simple 'what if' concept, then evolved into something more complete. As I started writing the main character Jackson, I realised he was someone who I had witnessed, throughout school, university and into my professional career, and who I felt was due some criticism. I hope my observations and voice will resonate with a diverse and global audience.
