Filmmaker Statement

Time is inarguably life’s most valuable commodity. In some instances we wish it to quickly pass and in others we long for more. No matter where we stand on the subject, we are always under its reign. My short film, Time, highlights the effects of this truth. Serving as both a cathartic release from a deeply personal life-altering event as well as an intimate peek into the struggles of a relationship with harsh barriers, I am grateful to have been able to bring this powerful story to life. With this film I offer a feminine gaze to an otherwise cold, masculine environment, and in turn humanize those who are incarcerated.
