Filmmaker Statement

As technologies continue to advance, we often find them used for the most mundane tasks. In this fictional world, portal technology hasn't uplifted the lower class, it's just made new ways for them to work. Against this anachronistic backdrop is the story of a man battling his sense of mundanity - adventure novels provide his inspiration, but many of us find ourselves called to "something more" through any number of sources. The hard reality is that we don't always succeed in our calculations of how to get there.
