Filmmaker Statement

Short before the pandemic I had become addicted to Tramadol. As I needed stronger medication I stumbled upon this extremely dangerous opioid. It sparked my imagination and I added the idea of using a highly addictive drug to another story I had been working on. The pandemic striked and as happened to many people, all projects I was working got canceled.  Around 2021 after being locked down for almost a year (although I had to attend my job at a rental company in an abandoned industrial terrain where only one costumer was allowed to pick up stuff for news coverage) my brother challenged me and offered me 500 euros to make a short film during the pandemic. To make the most out of that free money and make the best possible film in those very challenging times. He said it was going to make me a better filmmaker if I could overcome the challenge of filming and actually finish a production.  It was challenging indeed! Against all tides we made it work!
