Filmmaker Statement

The idea for Waiting for Coda emerged out of my fear about the impending risks posed by Artificial Intelligence. I used Coda as a vessel to explore the emotional and philosophical impact of such worse-case scenarios, and through the process was able to find a moment of clarity and peace. My intention for this film is to provide any sort of comfort for the audience, as I lay out the most universal theme: 'acceptance of change.'
