Filmmaker Statement

The film is about how, as immigrant kids we sometimes have to be parents to our parents, and the feeling of guilt when we’re tired of doing it. We love our parents and we want to take care of them, but everyone has their off days, thinking, ‘Why can’t you just do this yourself?’ Those moments become frustrating at times, regardless of the love we have for our parents. It’s about grappling with those feelings while having to act as a care-taker.
