Often, I have seen films that circle around the trauma of a person meeting with an accident and losing a limb. Those films have very well captured the challenges one faces while coping with this new lifestyle. But what kept me wondering were the thoughts, emotions, dilemmas, and pain that such a person goes through within the first few days of such an event. How they are on the verge of giving up and yet not sure enough to actually give up. How they oscillate between the thoughts of not having to live like this anymore and trying to find a reason to still cling on. These unspoken, solitary struggles which usually evade the eyes of anyone close to that person were fascinating subjects for me to delve deep into. My film, "WHEELS" tries to explore the struggle of an individual, who desperately and frantically searches for a ray of hope, a reason to fall back on and keep rolling on in this journey called life.
