White Picket Fences

“White Picket Fences”
10 year old Orion embraces her new father in this cold sci-fi anecdote.
Honestly? This all started as this dumb joke pitch, "What if a little kid finally embraced this robot father figure, only for it try and kill her whole family?" Benjamin Papac and I were feeling mildly edgy I guess; that's the best explanation I have, at least, because it certainly wasn't that funny. Anyways, years down the road, I wanted to create a piece that explored an idyllic reality... one that fought back at its own preposterous existence. The two of us purposefully returned to that silly pitch with the idea that we would take it dead seriously, intentionally bastardizing it to create White Picket Fences: the weirdest sci-fi satire we could muster. Enjoy.
