The first time I arrived in Hollywood I felt betrayed. I couldn't believe the "Dreams Factory" was named after a seedy neighborhood populated by weirdoes, the homeless, and lost tourists. Even the Academy Awards seemed to have chosen the Dolby Theater at random, bathing it in a bright dazzling light, ready to be dimmed as soon as the ceremony was over. The more time I spent there, however, the bigger the fascination I developed for this strange place full of contradictions. Who Is Jerry Adams? is born from a nostalgic yearning for an era that I only got to experience through the silver screen- the Golden Age of American cinema. We shot our film in one of the country's most complicated locations- Hollywood Boulevard, and on one of the nation's busiest days- the 4th of July. While filming, the sensations of déjà-vu were constant. We witnessed a lot of what we had written far away from LA, back in Europe, happen in front of us. We overheard dialogue we had made up being uttered by strangers in dirty alleyways, leaving us speechless. Who Is Jerry Adams? is a small film with big meaning, a story we wanted to tell our way, without compromises, being very aware that we were making the type of film that nobody makes anymore. After 4 years of dedication, we are very happy to be able to share our film with you, hoping that you will find it entertaining.
