Filmmaker Statement

For this film, I wanted to communicate the internal struggle that comes with being black in America. In all of the films I've seen, I haven't seen one yet that solely focuses on the internal landscape that black people have to face within the United States. How do we deal with microaggressions? How do we deal with an unjust judicial system? How do we deal with anxiety? Does this affect our relationships? The external struggles are real and serious, but there's weight to what's happening inside that shouldn't be overlooked. And this film is an attempt not to miss that.
